I am so excited! The start date for the new program by Carter Schoffer of Body Transformation has been moved to Feb 7th 🙂 I will be receiving it before that date to get a chance to look it over, ask questions and for some “practice time.” Very exciting.
It is also exciting because the suggestion has been made to get more comfortable in the squat rack. Good! I was kind of hoping he would make that suggestion and it feels like I needed that little push.
For some reason, although I don’t mind most lower body movements I’ve “stuck to”, including squats other than front or back squats, I have this weird thing with front squats and back squats in the squat rack. I will avoid them when making my own programs and truthfully really don’t even consider adding them in. Probably a little strange, I know.
A while ago I had it in my mind that I would get in there and “get comfortable.” Yeah, I think that lasted for one workout incorporating front squats. Definitely not enough time to get used to things.
With this push, I feel more likely to actually get into it, get used to it and make it a “new normal” option for me. Sometimes that’s all that is needed to try/stick to things we don’t really “like” doing but know will likely be beneficial; a helpful push.
So…shortly I will be in the works of getting over this weird fear/intimidation of mine and, who knows, I might even end up liking it.
