Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend. A friend from out-of-town came down and since we don’t see each other more than a couple of times a year, we decided it would be a reaaaally great idea to drink like fish and eat super awful food options! Makes sense right? lol Yeah that’s pretty poor logic really, but it was an awesome night and one that has further reminded me of why nights like that should stay few and far between.
I feel almost injury free! Saweet. No foot pounding movements have been done for some time but I am thinking everything should be ready for a bit of that within a week or two. Things like squats, lunges have been reintroduced and feel fine. Instead of metabolic circuits with any sort of jumping I’ve recently added in shorter sessions on the step mill (15-20 minutes), they have felt fine and will be done 2-3 times a week. Not doing any type of extra energy expenditure work was leaving me a little stir crazy. A little extra work will also be beneficial to some fun upcoming things!
Starting in November I’ll be doing some shoots. These do not require the same amount of leanness as a show would and the transition can be more gradual. This is awesome because more time and energy will be spared. A lot of care will be taken to not overdo it and to listen to my body.
I am super excited about these shoots. Before the first one with Grant Jones, I would look on modelmayhem.com and find sooo many great photographers whose work was just mind-blowing. Grant is a great example. Messages were sent just to say how amazing their work was and, of course, I hoped that one day some of them would want to work together. When Grant wanted to work together I was so overwhelmed and excited. He is so awesome.
This absolutely fantastic photographer whose work I’ve admired since the first time I saw it has expressed interest in a particular concept. Yesssss. Sometimes things turn out differently when pictures are all put together (which is a very fun part) but if everything comes together as planned, this is going to be one amazing project.
I’ll keep you posted and update changes in training/nutrition. Excited!
Have a great day!
